So far I have made with the Seagate Barracuda series only good experiences and also the "Seagate Barracuda 7200 1TB" fully meets my expectations. It's quick and so quiet that you hardly hear (or that the "usual" fan noise drown out the plate loose). Unusual is a plate so I never though I have those plates for many years in daily use (of course, not yet in the size).
Actually, I had doubts to order a hard drive on the Internet. - But Amazon has the plate so thoroughly packed that her nothing happened also during transport.

Conclusion: I would recommend this drive.
