Measuring method: stop hours it takes for the camera to trigger exactly 23 shooting (1st time) and to save completely on the SD card (2nd time).. So: press release button and simultaneously start stopwatch.. The camera starts to make to fast continuous shooting. After a short time (13 pictures) is the internal image memory of the A77 full u. The interval between shots will dramatically greater. After the 23 picture has been triggered, stop immediately the first time and then wait until all the data really the 23 images (at least 630MB) were stored on the SD card (second specified time). Camera settings (Sony SLT-A77): Picture quality: 24 Megapixel RAW + JPEG, Focus: manually (so camera before triggering spends no time for focusing), continuous shooting: "Hi", and with a fixed aperture shutter speed = 1 /. 1500sec.
Results (for 23 continuous shooting 24 megapixel RAW + JPEG):
1) SanDisk SDHC 32GB Extreme Pro UHS-I, Class 10 (95MB / s): ..... times = 9 sec / 17 sec.
2.) Lexar SDHC 32GB 600x Professional UHS-I, Class 10 (90MB / s) :. times = 10 sec / 22 sec.
3.) SanDisk SDHC 32GB Extreme HD Video, Class 10 (30MB / s): ....... times = 15 sec / 32 sec.
4.) PNY SDHC, 32GB, Professional, Class 10 (20MB / s): ................... times = 23 sec / 51 sec.
5.) Toshiba, Micro SDHC, 32GB, Class 4: ..................................... .Zeiten = 63 sec / 145 sec.
Conclusion: The SanDisk SDHC 32GB Extreme Pro UHS-I, Class 10 (95MB / s) is my "fastest horse in the stable" and therefore in my private ranking at No. 1. While the Lexar's Award winner in the mentioned comparison test. the Color photo (which was also made with a Sony SLT-A77), falls to me, however, significantly lower than the SanDisk Extreme Pro back. Those who do not or rarely used the continuous shooting mode, may be able to live well with the SD card in the squares 2-5, I personally am not going to use more but for taking pictures.
One final note about the product packaging: almost all manufacturers provide their wonderful small SD card in comparatively huge plastic packs which - in my opinion - are completely oversized and enlarge only the plastic garbage mountains..
