This trimmer achieved nowhere near the desired thoroughness. The cause is in my opinion the unsuitable designed cutting mechanism, from the too large (8.5 mm wide), poorly insertable into the nose as bad rotatable (about the rotation of the entire device), bulky cutting head results. The blade is notched triple and is at rest on a plane flush metal guide plates also with three notches. Switched on, the blade moves in two dimensions with a faint hum quickly over the guide plate. Here, the cutting head must be moved slowly over the hairy area, so that the hair fall, ideally in the notches of the guide plates and there cut by the moving blade.
The notches are only very small, and the blade is about 2 mm above the lead plates. This makes it possible in particular individual hairs difficult to grasp and, consequently, if at all, cut off only with great patience and after much fiddling in the nose; the minimum cutting height is not less than 2 mm, but even significantly higher. A not parallel but angled guided the nose inner wall cutting head achieves a shorter shaving and certainly no closer shave, but no longer cuts, because the guide plates (which only about 0.5 mm below the blade protrudes) lead even more difficult hair to the blade can. The trimmer thus requires a parallel as possible guidance along the nose inner wall to at least capture some hair and possibly also to cut.
This type of management is only a very limited extent within a nostril and the non-flat nose inner wall, so that the vast majority of hair, even the so also, can not be shortened easily accessible in the nose.
