In the spirit Uematsu brings Hamauzu, despite his own style, many different styles of music with. This ranges from classical, jazz, Ambient bishin to rock, techno, blues and opernhaftere pieces or even quieter piano parts! So alone from the genres ago he covers a lot on how his time already Nobuo Uematsu!
Very nice though I think that it uses 2 main topics as a guide. (Namely "Lightning's Theme" and "The Promise") It's also one of the best RPG Battle Themes ever produced: "Blinded by Light"!
This campaign issue simply emits only! ^^ My personal favorite among all known Battle Themes of Final Fantasy series! So much power lies darin- just wonderful!
What I also welcome the fact that Hamauzu boldly creates its own series themes. (However, what most fans had apparently quite negatively perceived)
So there is an entirely new "Final Fantasy" theme and a new "Prelude" to the 4 CD's. Sure Geschmackssache- me, however both had excellent Themes like. (Although this admittedly not come close to Uematsu's original pieces)
Only with the Chocobo Theme pays Hamauzu his Reminisenz to Uematsu and comes with two new versions of familiar themes (an idol-pop song and a jazz version) therefore.
What also is totally impressive: the entire soundtrack was recorded with a real orchestra and choir! What this regards quality: thumbs up! This is namely the ladies and gentlemen from Warsaw Philharmoie orchestra including choir! So the absolute best level. At least for the 13th partial fans need no extra "Distant Worlds" version! (With Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth allusions have been made to, or even perform at the concerts)
Another plus: The many character themes! Again rattles Hamauzu from many styles. (Being my personal favorite "Sazh's Theme", "Lightning's Theme" and "Snow's Theme" are)
Among the songs:
The final song "Kimi ga Iru Kara" is very nice fall. In stark contrast, the "spare-Song" by Leona Lewis, who has no musical reference to the album and simply put is ONLY Popgeschnulze. (But is also a matter of taste)
Fortunately, you get the original song here! Okay, wait a minute! The short version of Kimi ga Iru Kara (in the booklet as "Eternal Love" recorded) and "The Promise" (The Sunleth Waterscape ") are Lewis' whining then getting closer. Here stiffened you to a patronizing pop song. The best disconnecting and forgotten. However, the second song version of "The Promise" (Serah's Theme) is again turned out very nice. The vocals are sorted by song in either English or Japanese.
Also else is there the beautiful and spherical song "Dust to Dust" which makes up for the botched Idol songs.
Toll also I find the individual themes truly be completed. ("Ragnarok", "Fighting Fate" and "The Cradle Will Fall" here are prime examples) And then finally you get to 4 CD's full of atmospheric and great pieces and songs an incredibly beautiful and bombastic statements:
More seriously: "Born Anew", the first final boss-piece, easy rocking only without end! The pure doomsday music whose only drawback is probably the brevity of the tracks ... joins perfectly with the apocalyptic final boss themes of Uematsu. And "Nascent Requiem", which is the 2nd Enboss-piece, belongs to the most complex which can be heard on the 4 CDs. How many tracks of the soundtrack, this piece is mainly getragen- in combination with a large orchestra understood by the sounds of a piano itself. It sounds like the soundtrack to a violent, nightmarish monster to which Orphanus is yes. Atonal, brachial, GREAT !!!
Thus, it should be noted that you as a fan of the game, as well as music lovers some genres (especially likely but when classical music fan) with this gigantic soundtrack gets the masterpiece par excellence!
I, as a non-expert of the Games, was very enthusiastic!
Hamauzu provides a killer soundtrack that is complex and simple much whatever we heard in the shade! One of the best of his profession!
Thank you, Mr. Masashi Hamauzu!
Collectors should one probably also take another look at the album FINAL FANTASY throw 13 PLUS. There again some tracks in their beta Versionen- including an English song version of "Cocoon de Chocobo".
