Below I will go on a few points that I positively, but unfortunately also noticed negatively.
1) Packing:
I myself have bought the limited edition, which is why I can only write about .... First of all, I can get some fans and perhaps even expectant fans calm =) There has been much debate about whether the game disc in as Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 artbook is or whether the disc is located in a separate case. Well ... There are both the art book and the game case in typical Final Fantasy-style !! Personally, I find this version much better, since I do not have to open every time the artbook, to play ... it should stay me yes get far in good condition)
This brings me already for artbook ... It consists of 27 pages and in my opinion is well done. For fans definitely a great match to play. Well I also like that in some pictures and sketches are little notes, which the producers have been thinking or what they wanted to express it. However, all texts in the book are in English, but with standard knowledge you should have no problem!
Both the artbook and the game cover with the disc are supplied in a cardboard box, on which the image shown above by Tidus and Yuna is displayed. Whether we like it or not is of course a matter of taste, but I find this a good idea! As already mentioned by predecessors, the USK can 12 - label not removed. With the cardboard but you should careful because it makes me not particularly stable impression ... It can also be unable to open the side, but only up or down.
2) Story:
I know the story already, as I have already played very extensively on the PS 2 and they want to avoid spoilers, do not run as long.
For anyone who does not yet know the game just as much: It's about the young Blitzball player Tidus, the 1000 years, sent in the future due to contexts, which I will not explain here. This future, however, is more backward than his presence was. He tried, of course, in his time way back and meets different characters, with whom he begins his journey. However, one quickly realizes that it is not. The game creates a dramatic and moving turns that one definitely not leave you indifferent. And of course, also catered for the love of the game.
So, if you still wondering whether you shall buy this game or not buy it .... YOU! It's definitely for someone who has perhaps already played Final Fantasy parts or in general is on fantasy role-playing games, the right choice!
To content would be to say that two games are obtained on a disc here. Namely Final Fantasy X and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2. At the Extension Final Fantasy X-2 Last Mission I can not say anything because I have not played this extension. I started at X now and become the game in order to play through =) All I know is that the addition of Final Fantasy X-2 Last Mission has not yet appeared with us until then and that time played Final Fantasy X-2.
3) Design:
One of the main reasons for me to buy this game, was the revision in HD. Of course, I would have bought anyway for the PS3, even if it had not been revised since it this is my favorite part of the Final Fantasy saga. (FF7 and FF8 - Player -> please do not lynch me for it;)) However, there is nothing against a nice graphic, because the eye eats as well known with =)
I must admit that I am familiar in the art zero, but you can tell the difference anyway. The edges are smoothed out and everything is razor sharp. Of course, the graphics can not keep up with Final Fantasy 13 ... Does it also not, and is, I think, technically not even possible? In my opinion, has been ground more on the characters than on the environment, but the environment was also previously designed very detailed and lovingly. The difference is in any case not very big! Whether the cutscenes were also revised, I can not say, because they were already very well and I can honestly in the revised version you notice any difference unfortunately.
Negative me but unfortunately noticed that Tidus' eyes are not right somehow harmonious. They are much too blue and somehow you could sometimes think he had dark circles ... by the strong emphasis I do not know exactly how to describe it, but I think they do not fit properly ... When one has become accustomed , it is also not so bad =)
4) Gameplay:
Has on the gameplay itself to the "old" version does not change anything, which is good. Moreover, it's a remaster and not a remake. For those who do not know the game ... Your game consists entirely of 7 characters, of which only 3 participate simultaneously in the fight. However, within the struggle that people can be replaced. The combat system is turn-based. That is, you can leave you with every train as much time as you like, as there is a fixed order, who, when allowed to attack. This also applies to the opponents.
This point is now not very important, but he struck me positively -> the memory menu. Is stored, as usual, on blue Speichersphäroiden that are distributed throughout Spira. So you can not save any time, but only at these points. However, this is not so bad, because the save points are really encountered frequently. In memory menu itself, you can choose his game file and save it. Small Plus ... In addition to the memory file is always seen a small picture. Normally this is always the same ... as the Final Fantasy logo or a main character in Final Fantasy X ... you can see in the picture, however, always the location! It changes with every save, so to speak. That's the game really does not matter much, but it has struck me and you always know by where you were just;)
The load times are in the game in the long run poorly done. Once you go into a village or a city to a hut and back out, a small loading screen appears. While the takes only 2-5 seconds, but it must be possible to go within a city in houses without every time needs to be charged. At first it did not make me so very disturbed, but after a while one can quite nerve-sparing.
And now to the last point:
5) sound track:
I can remember that Sqare Enix announced that we get this time revised subtitles. The game is as usual in English and the subtitles are in German. However, the translation is in my opinion still sometimes really cruel. Do not worry ... it's not so bad that someone of the game does not know and can not speak English will notice of the story is not everything ... But it was more often translated mutatis mutandis. And all who know the game know what I am talking;) Sometimes there is just something completely different than was actually said. For example Auron says at the very beginning to Tidus: "This is your story, it all begins here." and is in the subtitle: "There is not any ... it's your story!" I mean this could have been done better. And I must admit that I am disappointed that the subtitles have not been restated.
In addition, the characters sometimes the lips move although still hear no sound. This I find, however, not as bad as the subtitles ... If one does not makes sure it does not fall so strong on.
CONCLUSION:
The revision of the old Final Fantasy X in an HD version is definitely succeeded and I regret the purchase in any case. The price-performance ratio is also very good, because two games obtained on a disc here. (+ Additional short "Last Mission")
Together to get there at about 250 hours of play, when you want to achieve anything. I would have given the game just like 5 star, I now as then simply ingenious and movingly find the story, but there was a star deduction for the subtitles and the load times.
I hope I could help some of you with this review. Since this was my first review, I'm happy to open for suggestions =)
