I've bought so far always analog, ie mechanical switches from the hardware store. However, these DIY parts are quite imprecise, but exactly cheap. I use this timer for my aquarium for switching the light. It is easy to use and it can be set more switching cycles: so I turn out the light, eg at noon to conserve power and reduce algae growth. A special feature is a button with which you can switch the switch manually. Very useful when you come home very late and just provides the food, but just the lights go out at this moment. Press button -> Light on and feed -> after 10 minutes, press button again, and the light is out and the programming is fully maintained. Purchase recommendation
