I have for 20 years a radio alarm clock. Meanwhile, however, the loose connection and I have prayed every day that he will be with me a long time yet, because I simply can not find a suitable replacement for him.
Until now.
This alarm clock TFA is new and - simply ingenious.
My criteria were:
- Easy to use because self-explanatory
- Clearly
- Display of both alarms (whether selected or not)
- No double assignment of keys
- Readability of time even at an angle from below
- 5 mins Snoozle time with easily accessible key
- Can be more comfortable in alarm volume and frequency (listen to the manufacturer's website (TFA Dostmann)
- Radio clock
- And was sure he should be.
All of these points satisfies this alarm to 100%
I have received the product, unpacked, paper strip from the battery compartment out and wait ....
After a few minutes, the time has set itself.
I then times down the left bell longer to see what happens :-) It happened as follows:
The display is cleared - up on the alarm 1. The number of hours was blinking. With the buttons + and - I could adjust the hours, then once twinkled on SET and the minutes. This, too, I was doing fast with + and -.
The same game then took place with the 2nd alarm.
To activate the alarms you have in each case a slide switch on the side. If you activate the alarm, simply pushing it into the appropriate position. Then a red dot appears in the little window next to the alarm (which is now visible on the image of the black unit bad. Better to see it at the white clock). At the same time the selected alarm time gets a small frame.
Super! Simple! Genial!
On the back of the clock is still a slide switch with which you can turn off the lighting of the alarm clock. Once it is in fact dark it turns on and stays on. The backlight is very discreet and do not interfere.
The beeping of the alarm sounds is very pleasant and the volume is right for me. However, the sound for the hard of hearing and super heavy sleeper kööönnte be slightly too low.
Key tones I could not hear.
After I finally got up (am Snoozle Queen) I put the slide switch briefly down and straight up as this alarm should also apply to the next day.
The wake-up sounds of the two alarm times are different. They both begin quietly and discreetly, then increase before they get it right Rabatz and latest then it is no longer possible to ignore the alarm light in volume and intensity.
I am very very very happy with the part and will direct again nachordern one to replace (or two ;-) because I'm so happy to finally have found the right device. My Daughter wants him also like to know.
An upbeat color would the alarm visually enhance something, but for me that is a subordinate criterion because for me the function and not the design in the foreground with an alarm clock. I have for this alarm no instruction manual needed because it is self-explanatory. Something I love!
I can absolutely recommend it and I gibts ne absolute buy recommendation.
EDIT November 2014:
I have another alarm clock (in white) for my 8 year old daughter bought. They operated the alarm alone and had done it without guidance intuitively immediately. So suitable for children.
I have now found that it is possible in the morning off the alarm by pressing one of the buttons on the front. He then wakes up this morning not once, but only the next day. So you can downshifts and push the save of the side buttons. :-)
