Finally off the iPhone Hype

Unfortunately, I must now also find that my display yellow spots and a general yellowness has. A friend of mine also has the Xperia S, and if we will compare the display with white backgrounds, the "extent" particularly visible. I have already re-get the device twice Amazon, of those deficiencies. My current machine is from 16 KW, thus actually still relatively fresh. However, this display is completely yellow again. Unfortunately, it is also not a "warm white", but actually yellow. Regarding repairs yes have some here already described that Sony has shortages of spare parts and equipment replacement generally refuses. Amazon wants me the device does not send again, because they assume that the next device again has such a defect. Too bad ... I'm the unit then unfortunately have to send them back and to choose one other manufacturer ...

For years I have iPhone owners. iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 & eventually I had the new, the 4S.

I've been trying to find for years a device that my needs (even apart from the operating system) is justified. Because on this Apple-prison, I really had no desire. But so far I had never been able to escape me this very strange "addiction". Until now :)

I keep my review short, because I want to mention a few aspects that other manufacturers (such as HTC, Samsung etc.) are often neglected, yet many were unbeaten on the iPhone.

Particularly important are the following things in a smartphone are my (I rate directly behind the Xperia S):

- Voice quality! - The Xperia S has a comfortable listening level, and good noise suppression. The quality of her better than the iPhone 4S, but a ticking quietly to maximum.

- Speakers! - How do I find very good, in direct comparison with the SGS II sounds Xperia somewhat "higher" and a ticking quietly. But bad under any circumstances. However, the best speakers I had in the iPhone 4S. But changer should not be disappointed. The speaker of the Xperia S is sufficient wholeheartedly!

- Reception! - I surf mobile network in Telekom Germany. HSDPA is constantly activated. And: It runs :) Where the 4S in our favorite bar often little or no "EDGE" reception had over the weekend, the Xperia suggests almost from all bars in the EDGE network. Even changing between HSDPA, 3G or EDGE is running smoothly and without wait time while surfing on equip. This could the iPhone 4 S and the previous not so good!

- Camera! - Yeah, that's a very important issue for me. I used to be crazy about all Cybershot phones from Sony Ericsson. So I was very spoiled when it comes to camera quality. Currently one indeed according to many magazines test the camera the iPhone 4S the best. However, I can not accept altogether so a direct comparison with the Xperia S. I have now taken pictures in many situations. In the dark, at Party in the disco light, direct sunlight, artificial light ... what to say. The photos are very successful. Crisp sharp, very intense color, for me no disturbing noise ... Also determine the FLASH is doing his best. Many smartphones have built a bad flash. Photos are yellowish or total überberlichtet. This does not have the Xperia S! Fantastic :)

- BATTERY! - Yes, that currently really seem to be a critical issue indeed. But I thought it would be really bad. However, I can reassure. Now initially, the device is of course brought to its capacity. We tried out a lot, it does not want to put it down easily. However, I personally feel the power of the iPhone 4S in terms of battery, bad! In addition, the Xperia S is loaded by means of a special charger supplied very quickly. That is indeed the case! From the iPhone I found the charging time always very short, but the Xperia S hits it. When I go to bed, the phone must be already loaded. So the battery will last a whole day with me. No longer! I find fine. I write a lot by WhatsApp, Facebook often runs, I surf here and there and play, take pictures ... But generally I invite every night my phone when I go to bed, so it's not bad. Must however mention that so far "more" become with every charging cycle of the battery. It actually seems to be such that after multiple-charging comes out the full potential.

- Software! - Sony has placed a very beautiful, simple and elegant interface to the device. I like very well. Miniruckler are sometimes yet to determine, but that does not bother. I think that belongs with the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich the past ... Otherwise: Android is a great operating system. Hey, wow, I can now set ringtones without problems and does not need to cut rightly and via iTunes on complicated device pull :) crazy what you withheld for years this ...

- Display! - WOW! Something I've never seen. I can only smile about the Retina Display of the iPhone. The display of the Xperia S is undoubtedly the best display I've ever seen on a smartphone. Must mention the fact that I am not a fan of AMOLED displays ... With the Mobile Bravia Engine, the colors are very pronounced. Must see time :).

- Music through headphones! - Hammer! What Beats Audio or iPod yet? The headphones supplied in the accessories ranging from fully. A super rich sound with nice bass :) And in the music player you have a lot of options!

So, maybe yes one or the other Apple users feel addressed and sometimes dares to step! :)

Sony is finally back! And I have now again :) I can with a clear conscience say that the Xperia S is the best Android smartphone currently. A great overall package that is found nowhere else. Anyone above things as much emphasis as I will not be disappointed!

*** Addendum after nearly a month use ***

Sony has now brought out a software update. My battery life is increased significantly. Mostly the battery now lasts twice as long as before. I'm still very satisfied with the device. It still looks like new and works flawlessly.

A little tip on the edge: The sensor keys are operated close to perfect, if the film (which at the factory it is) is withdrawn.
