I've bought the cable because I had read in another review that someone had bought the USB extension cable 3 from Amazon Basic for his external HDD. Just like me its hard drive with the Amazon Basic extension cord was constantly assumed or file errors generated in the files to be copied. I pushed it only on my hard drive, however, the other buyer could fix the problem by purchasing this cable, according to his own words. I've then also purchased the 2m version of this cable and since then no longer a problem with my hard drive. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend the cable, despite its relatively high price.
