To get straight to the point: The defusing of the Knights gang to Captain Feuerschwanz that link to "Wall Halli Galli" already began is completed here: On the new album, there are no bawdy ribaldry more, no embarrassing gags and also the favorite theme of carnal desires has apparently a done once and for all. However, this moral purge also fell every joke, every fun and the joy of playing the victim, the Feuerschwanz once constituted. The pieces of the new album are all too well-behaved to harmless and socially fit, in short: just dead boring! Feuerschwanz now play the music on which they have previously taken times funny. So they stuck once out from the gray mass of competitors. But now they step out of their somewhat silly, but once without question highly entertaining niche and sink into the mud of mediocrity and social acceptability. I have the old Feuerschwanz example estimated that they were much closer to the old Schandmaul off than the new Schandmaul. But now the new Feuerschwanz sound just like the new Schandmaul! And the sound even more like Adventureland, as to everything else, let alone to medieval folk or playfulness. "We raise our glasses to the sinking" it says in the title song of Albumsund unfortunately is the program for the entire album.
Actually was here already said everything, but because you do always have to justify anything more than dissatisfied complainer, as stoic as all-good-finder, I go with a heavy heart the songs again in detail by.
It starts with the title song "In Life!" and the fleet melody can still nix imagine the worst. However Feuerschwanz have plenty better pieces with a similar topic in the repertoire. In addition, the piece slows down rather quickly. What remains is a nice hook line, but can not lift out of the mediocrity that piece. Instead braces this song only 3/5 half full tankard.
It follows "heart by storm." Positive note is the jaunty tune that is very old Feuerschwanz tradition. The problem, however, is here without question the text! It is a love song and a rather cheesy one at that! The band has already previously composed predominantly romantic-inspired songs, but then usually added to a final punch, which kept the piece of a hair's breadth from a fate as kitsch. This happened here but not that mean dead serious! That part could have sprung a Rosenberg cover or else an evil Schlagerfuzzi! Too bad about the sound, but the play is simply too embarrassing to hear it and this does not even particularly original. Only with a lot of good will I give 2/5 reanimated Herzbuben here.
The third song is "man made of metal" and a bit reminiscent Metmaschine, without reaching its quality. The self-congratulation by Captain Feuerschwanz should probably be a parody of the rampant fitness craze, but is almost without wit and self-irony. Just a good gag in the song is too little, even the dull sound not Hauts out. Only 2/5 cans Drachenfutter.
It follows "carrot and stick", a song about relationships in which the woman wears the trousers. And also unfortunately evident: on family safe levels get Feuerschwanz not a single original rhyme about. The melody is indeed fast, but annoying pretty quickly. Well, at least my little ones are on the song, so even 3/5 hero slippers.
With "Hans" follows the lone highlight of the disc. The ode to the guitar could come from old (good) Feuerschwanz albums! There is actually a joke in the text. If the piece played a little more alert, there were the highest score, but still it loose enough to 4/5 lonely guitar heroes.
"Stupid question, Binge Drinking" just that. Addressed the intention to organize a drinking bout. The rhyme in the title is the only joke in the song. Not original, not a catchy tune, but pretty boring. Only 1/5 barren Zechtouren.
Also Feuerschwanz hats recognized: shanties stand straight up in the folk area in the course. "Sailor Love" is needed here behind competitors like "Santiano" not to hide, but again this song is meant totally serious and does not joke or creative poetry from. The implied conclusion Pointe hidden Feuerschwanz so timid that I do not even know if it was intentionally written purely, or not. No Feuerschwanz song, but also not really bad, so even 3/5 seasoned sea dogs.
And now it comes knüppeldick! "Good-bye" is a ballad. It's all about parting. Specifically to death. To the death of loved ones. This sentimental piece is quite poignant, but what such a thing is lost on a Feuerschwanz album? Would I want to hear depressieven crap that pulls me down and ruining the mood, then I would hear some mournful Schmonsens Count Scary or else a wailing whiner! But Feuerschwanz I put it into the player, because I want to be distracted from the misery in the world and not me time to get that now here even rubbed under his nose! No, I'm sorry, even if the song is well-intentioned and certainly has its oppressive qualities, something I do not want to hear and certainly not on this album. As a bonus track on an otherwise good disk I had this Requiem still able to pronounce a right to exist, but as the piece gets 0/5 dismal weeping willows.
After this tragedy, it is difficult to extract the phone from his deep again, so it did not even attempt the next song. The part is a nice, nice-sounding kitsch, as it would not be better Schandmaul crimes can. Total unfunny and unoriginal, only 1/5 traumtänzelnden zombies.

Songs like "tapped fresh" we know of Feuerschwanz only were all of them faster and more original. Only 1/5 cool blond.
In "In Vino Veritas" trying again to reach old lyric qualities. Unfortunately, not very successfully, also annoys the chorus pretty. Only 2/5 weeping truths.
Towards the end of the album is well noticed the Feuerschwänzlern that the song is but still a little too frisky at the very beginning, therefore they push here quickly a moody version afterwards. Why? 1/5 blown parties.
If I had to write a conclusion, I would say in summary that Feuerschwanz have lost everything they once made to what they were. They were original, creative, cheeky, self-deprecating and sometimes a bit obscene (to). The new album is nothing about it. Have Feuerschwanz about hawked their souls to the same demon who has already banned the playfulness of Schandmaul in hell? Where are the great stories remained who else offered us Feuerschwanz in its formerly unique way? Where is "Ferdinand"? Where is "The Executioner"? What has become of the plague (hurray!)? Even "Albrecht" was livelier than anything in "on life!" And where the hell is actually towards the Middle Ages? On this album there is not anyway!
So, this time short and sweet: Who Schandmaul still great place today, can this album probably very, very, very much more than I start. I however found Feuerschwanz good as they once were and the new disc I insert, hear the title track to half, then jump in front to "Hans" and the CD can then also make the same again. And that's just not enough. A star is actually still too much to express my disappointment expression here.
