The light color:
827 corresponds in fact exactly the light color of a halogen bulb.
Brightness:
Slightly darker than 35W halogen spotlight but that falls on only in direct comparison, and in the amount (6 lamps in the hallway) is no longer a difference to make.
Costs & benefits:
Certainly, the purchase price is (have 13 Euro / St paid.) Without, however, I expect the added power savings and life.
The following statement at 2 hours duration daily Brann x 365 days x lifetime (25.000Std.)
My savings over the lifetime of the LED lamp of 25,000 hours is 1013.50 euros.
I invest 78 EUR in LED bulbs instead of 300 euros for 150 bulbs (life 1000 hrs. With 2 Euro purchase price).
I'm saving 8.1 cents per day, or 29.59 euros per year.
After 2.2 years, the investment will pay for itself in the new LED lamps.
I have saved 4650 kWh and about 2900 tons of CO2 in the 34.2 years.
All this convinced me and I ordered directly or 8 pieces.
From me a strong buy recommendation and 5 star.
Data for calculation:
Current price: 21 cent / kWh
Emission factor, according to the Federal Environment Agency: 624 g / kWh
Halogen Bulbs price 2 Euro / Stk. 1000 hours lifetime
Addendum of 10/06/2014:
For the past 2 years, I have 25 of LED spotlights in use, a failed (Sep. 2014 due to flicker), but was easily replaced by Philips.
I burn 2x E27 bulbs from Philips in the living room, in use since 2 1/2 years 4 hours per day, even here I have recorded no defaults.
I am more convinced of LED.
