First the good news. The device works.

(Revision 2) the many negative reviews of this router and many identically constructed models are probably due to the fact that it is not easy to take the device with no network knowledge in operation, particularly when, as here the user manual is English only (China) and in my case even the supplied LAN cable was defective.

That was all the more confusing when one according to the instructions when you initially set quite could access via WLAN to the user, but probably for security reasons with the basic settings precisely just this once. There are circulating on the Internet a few instructions in German, who point out. Unfortunately, the user interface of the identical devices is not always the same, so that guidance shall assist limited. It is advisable nevertheless to read them (for "Wireless N Mini Router" search).

You have to get used to the somewhat strange user interface and even have English skills, then it's sometime easier.

Many seem to have also difficulties to integrate the device with the WPS button in the network. You do not need but anyway, if you can call up the user interface. There simply choose your own WLAN z. B. in repeater mode, enter the password ready. Less than a minute. Now you can access both via WLAN as well as a LAN cable to the Internet.
WPS on the wireless router mode for integrating third device works smoothly, however.

The transmission power of the device was in my case, unfortunately, the same as that of provided by my service provider available modems. It is not even from the ground floor to the second floor.

Meanwhile I use the device as a wireless router behind a cable modem. This works surprisingly smoothly and, above all, the part goes very quickly up, so you can unplug it when not in use for the purpose of power saving.
