Have this riving knife Fiskars bought because I've had good experiences with other Fiskars products. (Loppers, Spaltaxt, snow shovel). But here, unfortunately, have not tested the product for an extended period in the application of the Fiskars technicians. With buying decision was the safety aspect for me. Never strike steel on steel to prevent any chipping and possible injury. I've been to recently use to replace a replacement face of polymer with metal ring. These shows after brief use the same wear phenomena. Priced at more than 20 euros an absolute no-go. Since I also have either the appropriate safety equipment in the forest by the sawing, I will use again in the future a steel riving knife in conjunction with helmet and visor. - :)
