I use this adapter to the Sony a7, currently with a Pentacon 1.8 / 50 Auto MC. As far as I've found it so far, is focusing on "infinite" possible, there is no play on the lens or camera side. The adapter is also a small Allen key, with the M42 connection can be adjusted so that aperture and distance scale "right" (above) are. For the price an absolute recommendation.
