This lens hood fits correctly on my EF-S 18-55 IS STM. It holds in place. I was afraid of having too much force to put him at first, but in use, it seems to me satisfactory. For the rest, it is a visor, he did his job for much less than the Canon. I just regret that the inside is not covered with felt or cut "staircase", to further reduce glare, but that does not matter either.
