ANTIREFLECTION: not very strong, but pleasant compared to glossy displays. More distraction might not even be possible in consideration of the line by line polarization
2D representation:
I: - atrium above and slightly more below (in normal operation does not interfere, only when black bars in movies)
- Slightly reddish (corrected on the color settings)
- But not a homogeneous white (very disturbing irriterende colorations in text documents mainly) over the screen
- Black the background is dark gray-black with said atriums
- Vertical filter lines clearly visible and very disturbing (only disappear from eye level on top of the monitor), and also after some getting used to especially in homogeneous areas very irritating (eg in the gray menu backgrounds in Windows that were given a very striped appearance)
II: - very homogenous illumination without halos
- Very slight blue tint (in principle correctable, see below)
- White relatively homogeneous
- Black background is a deep dark blue purple, which can not be wegkorrigieren (but does not interfere in the normal operation, and even in films because of the homogeneity less bother than the halos in other model)
- Vertical filter lines barely visible (only partially, so ultimately very little disturbing, so gewöhnbar)
3D display:
I: - Screen hardly needs to be not inclined to back (is probably related to the fact that in return the Polfilterlinien were clearly seen already in this state)
II: - screen to be tilted to back all the way (about 5 ° more than Model I)
I + II: - observer position can deviate vertically by only a few degrees, the horizontal area larger (depending on distance 2-3 viewer possible)
- Central postion possible to screen height
- Distance should not be too large (the 3D effect is due to the screen size also not particularly impressive)
- Head can also be rotated in moderation
- Supplied 3D glasses and clip are easy and comfortable to wear
Tabletop:
- Not very reassuring attachment
- Only tilting possible, the only possible and unmetered with some use of force
- Shake the monitor with low application of power possible, but inherently stable enough for desktop operation
Monitor menu:
- The most important basic settings are there (for more details to follow)
DELIVERY:
- Glasses + glasses clip
- Driver CD (TriDef software, via the Internet can be loaded as tied to particular LG monitors)
- VGA cable
- DVI-D cable (Dual Link)
- Power Cable
SOFTWARE:
- TriDef enables operation of some, but not all, PC games (DirectX 9 minimum) in 3D that were not originally designed. This works depending on the game more or less well, even if the list of supported games is quite long. In principle, a profile for the game must be available (TriDef automatically searches for supported games), and the game from the TriDef application out to start. In the game itself changes the 3D effect are shortcuts also possible.
- TriDef also includes a video and movie player for certain formats
- 3D BluRays can only be played with 3D BluRay appropriate software but (about PowerDVD version 9, but only if the 3D support is explicitly mentioned !, otherwise only in the expensive Ultimate version)
TriDef can also be downloaded, because the LG monitors serve as a dongle for the software:

3D "adventure"
- Nice, but due to the small screen size is not very impressive (in the beginning there is of course the 'wow' factor)
- PC game: Richard Burns Rally: very spatially, aufrgund of many details (which is also a good signal depth allow) also very convincing, but after a familiarization phase is missing but what
- 3D BluRay: "Coraline" acts also very plastic and well done, but again, something is missing
- Own 3D images: look out great ;-)
- CONCLUSION here for 3D enjoyment is the screen after a period of getting used to small (you get the feeling, you look in a small box inside). A grundsätziches problem may be getting used to the 3D display. So blurring effect always irriterend while this (appropriated culturally?) In 2D is not only used, but used as a design element and received positively.
CONCLUSION: For viewing movies both monitors were more or less well suited to 3D, both suffered from the small screen size, the presentation itself was good. But only one model was recommended for desktop operation.
Without 3D you get to the same money much better monitors, which is in particular important for the desktop operating.
In 3D there are few alternatives in this size. Given the still low good 3D content offering, the question arises, whether the purchase is worth, because ultimately the 2D use will far outweigh. I keep the monitor only because I also have a 3D camera from Fuji, and therefore wants to use the monitor for 3D Barbeitung these images.
Alternatives for the desktop: see comment
Who is actually needed only in 3D, which should grab befitting a great (!) 3D TV. However, the 3D range is still quite poor, so if you create your own content or does not appropriate computer games, should be in no hurry.
