I find very prakitisch.
Too bad that no tripod socket is provided, and can be put under it, no plate (like Manfrotto RC2) because it builds very high and the thread is very short.

Oh, it would be an innovation if camera manufacturers would incorporate the principle without
it collides with tripod mount.
More megapixels is probably easier to install ....
