After the intro "One" at first you happy to the point and "Wildfire" was going directly on the radio as a hit by, a shame that it never ends. "The Birds" and "Devil's Hillside" are acoustically withdrawn melancholy pieces that make do with little instrumentation and are still very successful.
"Walking on Air", "Phoenix ava" and "Oh Rosario" are my absolute favorites, Easy Listening Folk with depth, which there was more common in the 70's, let me also remind Swing Out Sister and fit even today excellent.
Influences from R & B, easy listening, pop and blues enrich the overall very sparingly instrumented Folk, which is always supported by a beautiful orchestra.
Three "Interludes" form the bridges or the beginning and end of a wonderful album, which is so far one of the best of the year and can be assessed for me even with five stars, even though, as his debut has been very short and for me some songs still are likely to be much longer.
