2015 now back to the old label, but in old patterns expires Mary Roos, thank God. She has great authors brought on board (Sven Bünger, Pe Werner, Frank Ramond, Johannes Oerding, The Polar), who wrote her contemporary songs. Stylistically it's a bit away from the Jazz and towards a kind of unplugged Pop with real instruments (which has to be today, unfortunately, as a special highlight in the hit). And during the first listening I felt similar to the previous album - all really nice, class texted ("Unmanned", "waiting period"), entertaining ("Merkste itself"), moving ("You", a beautiful duet) and of course very nice sung and orchestrated ("Pictures of my life") - it has not ignited but really. This is due to the songs, I thought maybe it lacks the catchy again earwigs?
And suddenly buzzes me a song around in my head: "Relax". "Let me loose, let time be, just let a blind eye to". And then all at once "The little things". Then again, the mini-hit "Unique". Then running at one time "Unmanned" on the radio and I realize how amazing this song is actually.
Yes, it is probably an album that has to develop something. Anyway, Mary Roos is on the right track. You can tell that they themselves will influence and care that it is not just the voice that characterizes their albums.
There are four star - unfortunately because there are but two criticisms: the booklet acts as with heed DA Records albums bit old-fashioned and now and then the voice is not mixed well, sometimes even slightly overdriven.
Still, I'm looking forward to her next projects, as. Well as on their upcoming tour with Wolfgang Trepper
Oh - and the jazzy "No plan" follows Mary probably the Flow as the flea, but it took a long time until I realized this ...
