This LED strip is completely sufficient and much brighter than the two fluorescent tubes for our 80cm Basin. The plants and fish feel at ease; get off at the plants since the lighting change even small oxygen beads up.
Due to the built lens is surprisingly wide viewing angle and the surface that is illuminated, really big. Thus, the entire pool is evenly illuminated, instead of the feared rigid beam vertically downwards, as with other models.
In LED module some blue and red LEDs are installed, the beautifully emphasize the colors of the fish and strengthen. Nevertheless, the light is relatively "white-heavy", so that plants appear bright green instead of deep green. The appearance of the aquarium thus changes relatively strongly.
The mounting of the LED lamp designed to be very simple, we have disposed of the complete coverage of the aquarium and use the supplied bars. Simply slide in the side and place it on the glass edges of the aquarium. Alternatively, you can set the LED strip in the base of the fluorescent tubes. The bracket is supplied by the way - very good!
We operate the LED strip with a timer, which works flawlessly. I do not know why some people absolutely need a LED controller. To simulate sunrise and sunset - for me a controller is a little too expensive.
