Prologue

First of all: I have the Karcher borrowed VW75 Plus from a friend whose family has been active in the craft and you realize this device recommended. The gray Kärcher devices are typically intended for commercial use and accordingly sturdy and well made.
So after I was allowed to borrow the equipment for testing purposes for a few days, I have razed me of our windows of our townhouse. The apartment has terraces and has 14 windows a 194x60cm glass surface. which gives a total of 28 windows inside and out. For "conventional cleaning" with window cleaner and chamois leather I needed in the past, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Through the multiple on-and-off for cleaning the full window area that was previously comparable to an intense workout.

In the pretty little package is not only the actual device two squeegee (28cm and 17cm) for drawing off the water, a spray bottle, a cap for the spray bottle with a microfiber cloth for lathering, a set of cleaning liquid (concentrate), the charger and the manual.
Commissioning

The Kärcher comes with a permanently installed battery and therefore is first fully charged before an extensive cleaning. A (useful) to charge for about 2 hours range, charging takes a correspondingly long. Since this unit was but a loan, the battery has been already partially charged, so the equipment has to be loaded only briefly. The device can be stood upright and the charging process is indicated by a red blinking light next to the charging socket.
The device can not be used during the time of the socket. Thus, the battery must be charged only. This is annoying if between times out of power and you have a power outlet near the window. It does not help, then waiting is announced.
Cleaning

In the spray bottle a little cleaning concentrate is filled and mixed with water. Depending on taste, the concentrate is more or less dilute, so that the actual concentrate and water consumption varies. Later in turns out that with a filled bottle (approx 250ml) is a complete cleaning our windows possible. This is really cool and environmentally friendly!
I use the micro fiber top, just like my acquaintances without this set up on the wrong thing. It is easier and faster if you in one hand the spray bottle to spray the window uses and distributed with the other hand with the microfibre top, the cleaning liquid and the window "soaping". He has to be sprayed on the window is not a lot of liquid, just enough that the bottle is largely wetted by the liquid. by the always wet expectant microfiber cloth disc is moistened enough and cleaned.
That worked out well even with dirty window, where rain earth / dirt is splashed and their discs (fine dust of cars and planes, for example) have the city pollution a slight film of dirt.
After the liquid is distributed, one sets the "sucker" and pulls with very light pressure the unit down. The water is displaced by the rubber nose and sucked by the suction into the receptacle on the device. It has been shown that a disc is contaminated with small drops, feeling better absorb, as a disc located on the big water drop itself. The suction effect is not so strong that thick water droplets in pulling down are absorbed fast enough, yet beads down - when the insides of the windows are cleaned, it drips may then onto the floor. However, this also promotes the efficient use of water, as it does not help to bring "as much" water on the disc.
The cleaning of 60cm wide window requires me three tracks where I have to remove the water. And I've found that the time spent at the "conventional method" catch and wipe the liquid eliminated with this device. It was also cleaned at the edges of the window depending on the silicone joints without wiping.
Helpful in cleaning was also that the sprayed cleaning fluid leaves a slightly milky film so that is easily recognizable, which has not yet been deducted.
Unfortunately, experience with the use of the spray bottle already a "squeak" set the lever. This has always been a harbinger of a defective lever or a defective nozzle, so that later no or less water was pumped out of the bottle with other such bottles. This, however, I still could not find during the short testing time ...
Result

The window 16 were purified within one hour inside and outside. Compared to the "conventional method" I have saved as less than 30 minutes and had less physical exertion. Too bad for the health :) Even the result is impeccable, even pull with multiple are no stripes on the window to sunlight visible. (But that may be due to the cleaners!)
What's but found was that the device is less flexible than a simpler puller through the grip. Thus, especially in the area of the walls on the windows or windows with low ground clearance the guide of the device difficult. But you If necessary, the drawing direction of the top-down, if necessary, on the left-to-right may change that should not be a problem.
The "rework" is low. Thus, the wipe is dispensed with a chamois. Only the microfibre cloth and the rubber lip are clean and empty the collecting tank with the dirty water.
Of course with the device other wet surfaces should be cleaned, as well as tiles in the bathroom (shower) or a damp dusted table can be cleaned. Also an overturned Soaked can be sucked up from a smooth surface.
Others

So beautiful are Kärcher devices, there are electrical devices that have a certain noise level. The Kärcher has at a distance of 10cm a noise 70dB. which corresponds to a small handheld vacuum cleaner or a slightly louder conversation. Thus, it is in a residential building with several parties not just the device, which you should anschmeißen on Sunday morning in the outdoor area.
The appliance is also not intended to absorbing large amounts of water. Once it Gehr over a few milliliters of liquid per second, "spits" the unit the water over the side vent out. That's not very productive, but is probably the protection of the device - at least I got it so not broke;) Also performs sucking "upside down" to this behavior (sucking out the full sink does not work). Unfortunately, I can not determine which volume of fluid, the device creates a maximum at a certain time so ...

The device is designed for an easier and faster cleaning just many windows thoroughly recommended. Whether one these relief over 70 worth everyone must decide for themselves. It would also be the question of whether, if necessary, the smaller model, the Kärcher window vacuum cleaner WV 50 plus sufficient incl. Cleaner RM 500 ML.
