- Surfing the web on Wi-Fi, mail queries etc.
- The way my photos from the cameras (my hobby is photography) secure on the hard disk. Two is better, so on an SD card and board
- At home, use the laptop as a wireless setter for Airplay-enabled stereo
- Diverse little run hardware-hungry programs such as a program for the calibration of my plasma TV
- Attractive design
- Small and light, so it is easy to transport
Now when these things are not overblown requirements, I naturally looked around at very reasonable price range and came across this laptop. 259 Euro for a notebook are already an announcement! Good, but there are "only" a Celeron 1007 2 GB RAM and 320 GB HDD. But for my needs enough the fine.
Since I did not want to work with two different systems, I have the Ubuntu replaced by Windows 7, which are now available as an OEM version also already for around 30 euros. And the notebook will more than meet my requirements. Of course, an SSD would be faster and with 4GB of RAM some might be a little better "flutschen". But on the whole, provides the notebook my patience not particularly to the test and I count myself rather too impatient people!
The design I find - especially in white - as measured by the price quite appealing. The sculpture is of course cheap, but we are talking about support even 259 Euro! In addition, the notebook is lightweight with around 1.3 Kg and even the power supply is not sooo much bigger than many cell phone charger. The mobility can therefore be rated as excellent. With one exception: the battery life is rather modest. Sometimes it is just enough for nearly 3 hours depending on display brightness. But since I do not particularly need long in my applications, either the notebook or have an outlet nearby, this is definitely not a drawback for me.
Short to Keyboard and Touchpad: The keyboard is well done, in my view, what is of course subjective. The touchpad I'm not quite warm because there are better. But the bottom line is I'm not a friend of the touchpad, which is why I have worried me a little mouse on the go.
Conclusion: Just what I wanted! In my eyes the ideal notebook for the price-conscious, where battery life and performance are not so important.
