For me, a generation leap ... with 5 stars

One thing first: I have a HTC Desire Z (old, hard, hardware keyboard, small screen, but rooted and therefore sufficient power) changed to WIKO Darkmoon. The HTC has then passed away after about 5 years.

Why WIKO?
I was just too cheap to pay 400 to 700 for the usual suspects and looked around for an alternative, though I flirted with the Sony Xperia Z1 and the forthcoming Z1 Mini. After consistently good reviews about this manufacturer and the phones, the decision was clear.

What has helped?
WIKO provides functionality compared to most other manufacturers dual sim. This is interesting for me because I use another provider for phone calls to Scandinavia.

Why I chose for the Dark Moon?
I wanted a "small" smartphone. The 5-inch devices (Full Dark, Dark Night, Stairway) are really looking for me. Since this appeared here again, I had the hope of current technology and fewer problems with the manufacturer known issues of other smartphones (jiggling keys, GPS accuracy, etc.) is what part in the reviews of WIKO called Article.

What I would like to know in advance?
I had the Dark Moon are best viewed before me, then I would have decided against it.
Even though I have looked at the extent previously and had other smartphones in-store in the hand, I did not expect that the new devices are so "huge".

The Darkmoon with 4.7 inches larger than an iPhone 5S but significantly lighter. With wind you could even feel it may be a blown out of his hand.

Because it is so easy, I've always felt it would slip out of my hand.
Likewise, I have the right WIKO back cover purchased and installed. This makes it very "slippery" in his hand, as it is made of coated plastic nem funny (but very valuable). So better without cover, then one comes to enjoy the aluminum back.

With the back cover I find it trotzdembesser because: the catchment for the micro-SIM on the left side, and the cover for the mini-Sim and memory card on top of the case is covered by the cover (protected) are.

Single-handed operation:
If possible I think is not good, because the display / cell phone is too big and the phone with the slippery cover is too uncertain in his hand.

What you get for your money:
The facts (which can be found on the manufacturer side) speak for the Dark Moon. For 190 you get a dual SIM capable smartphone with Gorilla glass, not replaceable battery, which can be expanded with memory card to a maximum of 32GB 4GB of memory, which is thinner and lighter than an iPhone and too big for me.

Processing:
No jiggling keys (also only the volume rocker and the on / off button on the right side). The pressure point is very good. Unfortunately, there is no dedicated camera button. At the top is a 3,5er slot and the connection for the mini-USB charging / data cable to find. The original charging cable goes in a little hard, I use my old HTC.

The camera is up / mounted centrally on the back, which unfortunately protrudes from the housing and so tend to scratch threatened (at least the lens). Remedy here again the slippery cover.

Display:
For Gorilla glass I can not say anything because I have never had such a brand. The point of view is good from all sides, even in daylight, I could not fault it. I have directly applied the WIKO protector. The brightness sensor (automatic brightness) or the shutdown of the display at "head touch" function properly and without delay.

Dual SIM:
It can accommodate a mini-Sim and a micro-SIM in the device. There are adapters for Nano and Micro Mini delivered on on mini-Sim (In the email, Iphone-like packaging are still the way the headphones I do not use). Then 2 PIN must be entered numbers and you can adjust both SIM cards for their needs when the device starts.
Ie You can insert a SIM for voice call, video call, SMS / MMS and data connection are set as the default. Likewise, each SIM can be switched off individually and be managed separately and Roaming etc.

Connectivity:
I am in the D1 and booked E-Plus network and have been very good reception indoors and outdoors in the city.
Wi-Fi works well so far without restrictions.
When GPS is found in free within 3-4 seconds aureichend satellites and used. The accuracy is with me up to 2-3 meters exactly (within the city limits). In the apartment it takes a little longer to establish a connection.

Camera:
The main camera takes good pictures, with lightning in the dark, enough to photograph at times texts or other stuff, or for Whatsapp (let's face it ... the more for cell phone camera but anyway no longer used). I always am thinking of my old HTC and the 180 for the Darkmoon and I would take my DSLR for photos.
The secondary camera for video calling is a big hit. My HTC had a 5MP main camera. And with this one I only use Skype or make Poser photos)

Sound:
If no boom box, but I will indeed sound for any bus stop it. It is sufficient in any case, so you do not miss his calls.

Battery:
The specified standby time I have not tested, but can not imagine that it fits. So far I have managed to get the phone to use about 2 days on a single charge. For a smartphone I think that enough, considering what the parts all afford (screen size, brightness, apps, connectivity, etc.). Did this little n Phone conversations, SMS / Whatsapp used surfed via WiFi, was geocaching, Apps have installed / tested / deleted and what one does so with the cell phone in everyday life. Here no continuous use with the monitor on, because otherwise you can watch as the battery runs out.

WIKO incidentally the opportunity to keep installed apps to move to SD card.

Rooting:
Currently there are no "safe" solution. Neither in French forums, even on relevant known other pages there is a tool for the WIKO Darkmoon. On the Wikoblog a tool for the Dark Night or device has already been presented with "China chip".
Since I'm still waiting for it, because it was installed by WIKO n bit rubbish on the phone. Not nearly as much as the other manufacturers.

Conclusion:
- The price / quality ratio is unbeatable.
- With the phone is not as good in the hand (for 1-hand operation), but it was in all other 5 "devices even as I also could have sent back yes..
- 4GB Memory suffice me, as you will be informed in advance of the permanently installed battery.
- Processing is super
- All advertised works without problems
- Still rooting and I'm happy

I look forward whatever else comes across from WIKO. Perhaps an outdoor smartphone?
Who is surfing the way out of the French manufacturer's website to see that WIKO "normal" devices built / sold and jumped not only on the smartphone wave is.

I have not bought from Amazon, because it was not available at that time.

Although the battery lasts me a long time, I noticed something like it here ([...]) is described. Once my battery has reached about 15%, the charge level drops rapidly, you'd think every minute. At 3-4%, he then holds for a while, but should be connected quickly somewhere.

ROOT UPDATE
