I have two Gigaset base stations mothballed a Linksys WAG160N modem with router and a Eumex 400 telephone system. All the functions and now additionally with a Gigaset S68H does the Fritz box now.
The real selling point was that I was absolutely not satisfied with my Linksys WAG160N. No stable running, disconnections in DSL and WLAN, just a disaster.
After a long "study" of the reviews, I then decided to use the FritzBox 7270. A little fear gave me the bad grades for the DECT part of 7270. But below my pros and cons. The firmware is the way the 54.04.70, with which the box was delivered.
Pro:
- DSL connection absolutely stable, no crashes
- Wi-Fi (g and n) stable connection without interruptions
- DECT, super voice quality and coverage (box in the basement, has up to 2nd floor through 2 concrete walls)
- Super equipment (integrated answering machine, fax, etc.), endless ways to configure the Box
- Easy connection and configuration
Cons:
- I have not found a negative value.
Well the price is of course a different league than the competitors', but you need no additional PBX, DECT phones can be bought as handsets without the base, no additional router and / or modem due.
In my opinion, you can not list the price as a negative point, since a number of other devices disappear.
I was skeptical at first because I have always been used Linksys products but the 7270 has convinced me completely. Absolute Best Buy.
