Audioslave (Audio CD)

Customer Review

I hear that Audioslave is actually a miracle - after the first single Cochise I just thought: What is this for a scrap ???? Fortunately I properly a few months later in their appearance of TV Rock am Ring - I was there - she looked but not because I did nothing of them ... well now that is something else, and this album is for me one of the best rock albums ever! I admit neither Rage Against the Machine still Soundgarden albums are in my possession, but the rhythms remember but to various RATM Singles I knew from television - Cornell's voice was my only Sund Blackhole a term. There are catchy rock with good voice - everything you heard was from handmade ... honest music could say man !!!!

01. Cochise: A opener of the already good pace making and in which you will be immediately impressed by the voice of Cornell. The song convinces with good riffing, a good voice and crazy guitar playing, although the chorus is impressive not be 100% sure, because it consists of only 2 sets and wirktz abgenudelt relatively quickly - still a hit - and as an opener anyway a good idea! 5/5 stars

02. Show Me How To Live: The reef rocks just !!! Whether stopped in verse or unrestrained in the chorus. Everything is great here - whether driving drum / bass rhythm, riffs or singing - everything is at the highest level !!! 5/5 stars

03. Gasoline: Similar to the first two songs, everything here is designed for the riffing and the voice of Cornell - but also the cool Bassgebrumme is not neglected - Drum Technically rather solid. Especially the verses convinced by cool guitar sounds and outstanding vocal - unfortunately also here the chorus similar to Cochise somewhat weaker - what the song but does not cost deduction - because he just rocks just catchy! 5/5 stars

04. What You Are: Fields with a sleek Zupfpartie and is driven by the drums - will jump to Cornell and just awesome singing. The lyrics are about a function - I suppose the Cornell thus describes his addiction. Especially Morello tangled guitar solo stands out perfectly here. The guitar sounds to me personally but something to dull the sound goes the chorus. A really good song - but the first somewhat weaker on the album. 4/5 stars

05. Like A Stone: Since it is the second mega song to Show Me How To Live. A rather quiet song driven by great bass - guitar plingt relaxed about it and the drums leave the bass enough space to unfold. Cornell has also enough space for his voice - as the guitar rather operates in the background. The refrain here convinced me completely - the overall picture is consistent and fits well with the rest - not too fast or too hard contrasts. When Solo Morello may even show that he hinbekommt also great melodies instead tangled tinkling and forwards as the C-part consisting of only Akkoustikgitarre and singing again - before the other Reinsert and to sing with a good transition to the last chorus - class song !! ! 5/5 stars

06. Set It Off: This song goes then to 2 quieter songs again full! The song starts with a Morello beginning and goes into a reef about Morello - in this song you realize immediately that everything is again designed for guitar. Especially the chorus has good pace and exerts great fire - Cornell can convince egypt here through an appropriate pinch. The C-part is a little quieter - but waiting to get back on to move to the bright chorus. 5/5 stars

07. Shadow of the Sun: This track has a great atmos - he weswwegen probably the movie "Collateral" occurred. Everything here is designed for the singing - and Cornell delivers here with the best performance of the CD. The other instruments are to refrain kept very quiet and then explode with the singing. The solo is something experimental and fits well into GESAM image of the song - and the end is very well - it is slightly different vonm rest of the song - since, in contrast is no longer quiet - but more hard and aggressive. 5/5 stars

08. I Am The Highway: How Shadow of the Sun, a rather calmer titles - relies heavily on Akkoustikgitarre and Cornell's vocals. Also the chorus is held still - but spreading a great atmosphere - Morello omitted here an inappropriate confusion solo - and used subtle and quieter effects on the amazing guitar solo. 5/5 stars

09. Exploder: MMH this song is kind of hard to describe ... it is quiet but tough ... but also groovy and rocking ... Anyway, he is good and spread a MMH how to say - somewhat darker atmosphere, which stands him in good stead ... everyone must hear myself! 5/5 stars

10. Hypnotize: This song is wirtklich horny - he reminds me of Depeche Mode ... the bass is booming, the drums sound very experimental, from the guitar you can hear almost nothing, which is reminiscent of guitar - Cornell sings somehow unusual - confused Slide Solo - great !!! The most unusual of all Audioslave Title 3 albums - but also one of the best !! 5/5 stars

11.Brin em Back Alive: This song reminded of the songs from the Beginning of the last album - the riffing is once again in the foreground and the pace is right. Cornell has the verse a nice effect on the voice ... Unfortunately, the chorus is again somehow weaker ... mmh are better songs - even if it is quite like it 3/5 stars

12. Again, the reef is again in the foreground - and a great wah Wajh effect in verse - supported Cornell toillen singing - well, this song has a mesmerizing Atmo and can totally convincing - the Refrtain rocktz towards the end of the album again vigorously pure. The C-part is very quiet and is almost the best part of the song for me ... 5/5 stars

13. Getaway Car: Quiet and chilliges song - great strumming with great atmos and great vocals ... all I can to not tell ... except - I'll help you find something to drive - Before You Drive me insane !!! 5/5 stars

14. Last Remaining Light: Mmm ... Mmm ... mmmmmmmhhhh. Like somehow almost no ... the lame and uninspiring track ... why is the on the album? Especially when even such great B-sides such as A Better Bomb are there ??? Well man can make nothing ... I find the album still excellent ... the first is the best !!!! 2/5 stars
