Rather, this review should make it clear, and the purely subjective, what is crucial for me in everyday practice. Subjectively, because of course everyone has a different user profile.
So it's now actually happened:
Since the age of 15 (and which is now 20 years ago) I had a computer.
I needed him to tinker (in terms of rebuilding), upgrades, games, text writing, later Internet, e-mails etc.
For a few weeks I have now separated me from my last computer and daring experiment to concern myself only with the pad or to use this.
The idea I came by because I the calculator mainly only have to look at since ownership of the iPad and have practically barely used.
So I'm systematically addressed the whole and thought about for me, what I was doing so with my computer (I would imagine that this is true also for 80% of computer users).
So the question was, which I have often used the computer in the end and how can this be achieved with the iPad.
Thus came together:
- Internet -> no problem with the iPad
- Emails -> also sufficient for my private e-mail traffic
- Music -> most recently on iCloud online and always available, as long as Internet exists (I use eh just at home or with Iphone then Mobile)
- Photos / other information -> controlled via Dropbox, access very fast, 50GB = $ 9.99 / month
- Edit photos -> goes iPhoto to the iPad
What I can not do:
- CD's burn -> why? I do not have a player more in the house - iCloud, Apple TV, Dock, plant
- Copy DVD's -> I do not collect movies, because I see this anyway just 1x, Apple TV offers online video store
Had someone asked me a year ago, I had the complete transition to iPad definitely denies.
Due to the existing possibilities but meanwhile (Cloud, an upgrade path without a PC, Dropbox etc.) I personally handed the pad from a single device.
What I have so far done on the PC, I can do with it and so that's okay.
You have to seriously question what do 90% of PC owners with their device but times:
Internet, Email, Office and maybe a few games.
My personal opinion is therefore that the classic PC (whether PC or Mac does not matter because) for most users is a discontinued model and is more likely to be semi-settled even in the business sector or to the professional field.
And now, dear reader, think but let's be honest about your own PC behavior by and then decide if you really still need a computer ... :-)
In this sense, ... a lot of fun ...
