areas for improvement:
- Difficulty: I confirm that it is not easy to handle, it lacks a hump on the right which does not facilitate the grip, so you have to put your fingers under the unit to hold it. Outgoing flash on the upper right, there is little room for the left hand. I'll get used to, but a smaller screen hair would not have changed much to the quality of the device. But here's the marketing said "me too" and so this is the competition for size ... so as it has to fit in the pocket .... you got to have small hands ....
- I got to do the firmware buger: under load it is not possible to use the device. if you lit, a black screen appears with parameters but nothing happens. Until logic. But if you disconnected, the screen remains black. you turn off the unit and back on, nothing happens .... LOL Cool a brand new device! do not panic, should remove the battery and hand ...
- Multi Function ring: it's expert unit, you must play with the settings. It's not a reflex, so it's less normally, except that here there is the best with this goshawks lens ring that is more programmable function key. As against the ring did not catch, so "we do not feel" setting it is a pity
- Depth of field: do not look good to blow a portrait of your sweet, the depth of field despite opening 1.8 (28mm) is limited .... It's light, at least that's the size of this one that does not allow to have a blur as we like on reflex ... but I do not see what Sony can do. Remains that the post treatment in Gimp ...
- Recording movies: a different folder, which requires (not yet found the bypass) to use memory play a downloaded app
- The doc, a big book with language scores for not much. On the Sony website the interactive version of the user's guide is not bad, not didactic, but clear.
Highlights:
- Manufacturing: it's heavy and it's heavy and even the looks solid ... we'll see over time
- Sensitivity! feeble light in the image is sharp, nice, with good color rendering
- Development: an important point for me. an image stolen in a market in China does not expect an update risky. And then good surprise, it goes fast, very fast. tests speak of 0.5 s, not measured but is fast.
- Time 2 images: the tests were talking about - a second ... in fact it depends on the treatment. The device is actually a heavy treatment of each image (correction of optical distortions among others). Not measured, but at 2 s feeling for longer. This remains excellent. I have not tried the burst mode, which announces 7 i / s!
- Image quality: well then I am stuck ... I ditto my reflex with excellent sharpness in most situations
- The short focal is a bit large;>) 28mm is a shame, a 18mm would have been perfect. This may be partly offset by a panoramic mode that works very well. You scan the landscape and the camera has to make a panoramic photo
Note: expect a heavy card (I took 64 MB) because in RAW + JPEG it goes fast (25MB per image)
CONCLUSION: Perfect FOR MY PROGRAM
Remember: the perfect device is the one that was in itself all the time ...
