However, it has nothing to do with the FF-RPG thoughts of the past. I am probably now on an older FF fan base. My first FF I played as an import on the Nintendo Famicom and have since been always enthusiastic. FF was a guarantee of innovation, great stories, unique atmosphere, interesting character, actor values and great turn-based (!) Fighting. And the turn-based battles were always at the heart of the Games. I have nothing against real-time battles. "Mass Effect" and "Dragon Age Origins" understand it's great to entertain it. But in FF it does not fit. The fights are far too hectic. Then the interactions are missing in the villages and towns with citizens and monsters. The level have become uninterssanten tubes. Add to this that I can not identify myself with the main character (s) - important in a role-play!
I have the game now played in half and possess no more motivation to play it to the end - which I both very Sorry! Because the graphics is the Oberhammer again. I think FF XIII will but win lose with the new game mechanics, a lot of new fans as many fans. In the past I have the FF games blindly bought and never regretted it right. For the future: only borrow and audition!
All others: Enjoys Cid, the puddings, Chocobos, and the dazzling look.
