As has been said before - the gloves are not really ultra hot. There are, in my view but also thicker specimens, for. Example by Ziener. The very thin, there is only one alternative of Burton - but these are even thinner and have a glued box on index finger and thumb on the touchscreen controls. This is clearly an advantage of these gloves: Any finger can be used for touch screens and works very well. Also System cameras with additional operation via the TS can be well used, keys can also make very good press. Therefore, the thin and the only slight protection against cold for me is not an argument against these gloves. Simply allow full use of technical equipment in the winter, fall without a fingers at once;)
