To Stick:
The stick comes as HTC accustomed wertig packed. Even the plastic itself looks valuable and not cheap. On the back is a small recessed button which prevents accidental switching on, but is easy to operate. The standard micro USB port for charging is a blessing and thus integrates seamlessly into my equipment Park. Stupid solved the lid is on the jack, the rather loosely flying in fact through the area.
Terms:
The coupling with the HTC One X and HTC Rhyme was expected with a compliant simple and self-explanatory. When One X Apt-X is automatically used for music transfer, the drive supports the Rhyme but also without complaint A2DP.
Transmission quality:
At the One X is a blessing. If it is not CD quality, it is yet so close that it (let dudeln phone on the system, sonication car, ...) for the application is perfect. With the HTC Rhyme, there is the A2DP typical compression artefacts, especially in the high places, but because the stick can nix for.
Coverage:
Here comes the snag. The stick is designed for use in the car, and it's enough. Since I can use with Bluetooth mouse and keyboard from the couch, the below-TV mobile phone without any problems, I had expected this for the music transfer (only about 4m). But after a good 2m is concluded commitment the phone further away or moving it at all, it comes to unsightly dropouts, and not only with APT-Xx, but also with A2DP. But if I have to put on the system quasi the phone so that the connection is stable, I can directly plug in the phone cable.
Conclusion: Quality super, reach for the application probably adequate, but no more. Anyone who wants to stream the music on the radio in the VW Bulli from the back seat, it should not be relied upon, that the coverage is sufficient.
