After I already had two predecessors, with whom I was very happy, I bought this because it seemed like my last most similar. The visuals are great. All connections I could easily take over and maintain the old speaker cabling equal. The sound can be described as very good (as usual). Very unsatisfactory, however, are two things. First, the device makes a hell of a noise (fan noise!). You have to properly specify the volume to drown out the intrinsic noise of the plant. The second problem is the speed of the response speed of the controls in particular selector. Besides the fact that the unit ever needs to be at all operational after turning if you for example want to switch from "Radio" to "CD", you would have to bring a lot of time. If you then "CD" accidentally skips (which often happens), it can sometimes lead to a small outburst, because then it takes an eternity until "CD" is off again. In short, as much as I was also delighted with my Sony devices, this device is a disaster.
