In short, for a total of 65 (device + shipping) the thing really is fine. The configuration is super-easy
and the image quality is sufficient. But it would be nice if the frame rate would be slightly better because the
Camera is pretty sluggish, which the Motion Detection unfortunately works very badly: once a person
the picture appears, the camera takes a photo, on which one does not see much. The next photo is (despite
adjusted 1sec interval) when the person is away until after 5 seconds again. This feature is
Thus only limited use. What took me a good hour troubleshooting, is the fact that the
Camera with long WPA (2) -Schlüsseln get along. I unfortunately had to therefore shorten my password so
the camera can connect to the network.
Here are my pros and cons:
+ Fully configurable via web interface
+ Web interface is very straightforward and easy to use
+ Switches easily toggle between LAN and WLAN
+ Supports WEP, WPA and WPA2
+ With the Viewer tool up to 4 cameras simultaneously monitored
+ By pressing a button can be stored snapshots or videos
+ Per Motion Detection can automatically create snapshots
+ FTP upload works fine
+ There is an admin login and up to 4 user logins
+ About [...] can always be called a current frame (without logging in)
o quality of the camera image is very limited, but sufficient for rudimentary surveillance
- Despite the set frame rate of 30, the cam is extremely slow (Felt 3 fps)
To use motion detection due to poor framerate unfortunately only conditionally -
- No acoustic signaling possible with Motion Detection
- Camera image only from browsers with ActiveX support available
- Fields too short (server names and passwords must be correspondingly short)
- Sending e-mails does not work (tested with GMX; Third Party address the fit anything into the field)
- Camera image only the additional installable Viewer tool rotatable (and even there only 180 °; 90 ° would be nice)
- Camera can not be held up due to the bottom-mounted power connector
- The "switch off LEDs" option is disabled, only the LAN / WLAN LEDs that flash power LED remains active
