I was so far with this tent 1 1/2 weeks in the Pyrenees on the road and in that time it has rained 3 times: once a really heavy storm with cloudburst and hail, which was loosely over 5 hours, then continuous rain and drizzle. The tent stayed dry in almost all situations, except when the thunderstorm. There had been formed at the bottom of a small corner in a short time a puddle which has permeated the tent floor, even though this was supposed to be waterproof. I just hope that this is an exception in my tent. Otherwise the outer tent held everything I do think is a decent performance. When it rains, assembled and disassembled, I did not have the tent.
I had not much wind, so I can not say much on this item in the mountains. It may be natural that in extremely windy areas more than my 6-8 pegs are needed. However, I would say that my tent so already had a very good level.
In the tent, condensation had formed every morning times. This was hardly disturbing to me, because it does not drip down. But when I wanted to pack up the tent, it took forever until it was dry again. Aeration therefore not seem to work quite as optimal, but one has this problem even if a little more wind prevails.
The weight is approximately 2.2 kg, which is ok. I have taken some of the pegs directly aside and take now only 10 (8 abspannen the maximum and 2 reserve). This tent will again 200g lighter and is well suited for trekking. Packed together, it is relatively narrow and long, thus I was able to optimally fasten it to the left side of my 65l backpack. In order to rig the middle side loops, you can by the way even longer guy ropes get (qid = 1378373824 & sr = 8-12 & keywords = Abspannleine + tent). Thus, the outer tarpaulin should be slightly firmer.
Processing of course seems to be slightly away from the tent of a 300, but for the price it seems really fit. The soil is one of these PU coated Plan, which I think is good because they are not as sensitive as modern tent floors. Therefore an extra tarpaulin must not take it, this would weigh 300g yes again.
Also I would say that the tent only for 1 person with luggage is suitable. While it fit in 2 sleeping pads, but otherwise not much. It would be possible, of course, for example, simply leave on a trekking tour in the backpacks rain cover outside.
Minor shortcomings as senseless inner mesh pockets or a way of lamp installation can quickly resolve itself with something Nähzeugs.
Conclusion: For the price you can strike in any case. You get a tent, which prevents a lot of rain and is easy. For the Arctic or the Mount Everest VLT not suitable for the otherwise most of all outdoor activities but already.
