Would that here the basic model or, if you Roomba 650 then I could see over it. But here is the current top model of iRobot Roomba 870 and the costs, at least here on Amazon almost 700 euros! But selbt with a promotional price of 520 euros, I am not convinced of the power of the Roomba 870, yes even more disappointed.
Open, little nooks and crannies terrain creates the Roomba 870 fine and since the result is also very good, also under the table navigated Roomba skillfully around the chair legs as long as so much space is enough to fit through. But once it gets a little nooks and crannies, the technology reaches very quickly reach their limits and the Roomba 870 needs some very long until he can rid of it again.
I'm going to buy the Roomba 620 or 650 because in itself is a Suction robot a really cool thing. From the current top of the range to 700 Euro one must however expect more, so there's me for the Roomba 870 only 3 stars.

We now have the iRobot Roomba 620 and those used in the same premises as the Roomba 870. We noticed a worse neither intelligence nor poorer cleaning performance. It is true that the Roomba 620 is already front scratched already properly after a few easy runs on Bumper, since but consistently only dark gray, unpainted plastic was used in the 620, it is less visible than in the silver-gray finish of the Roomba 870 where at one scratches the underlying dark plastic surface is visible.
In addition, the Car of the Roomba 620 is thicker than the 870 and a few millimeters higher than the body so that scratching the Saugroboteroberseite is highly unlikely. When Roomba 870 Bumper is the same as the body. In the worst case, the entire top of the Roomba is scratched!

Those who do not need is the Roomba 620 also well served for a price of only 270 Euro! And if it goes in the programming, there is still the about 80 euros more expensive Roomba 650th
For more than twice the price compared to the base model, the Roomba 870 can not convince but twice. Not at all. And since a Roomba 870 conventional vacuum cleaners can not replace, it has more sense made for us with the Roomba 620 a favorable robotic vacuum plus a handy battery vacuum cleaner to buy for the sites where the Roomba can not suck (Frans carpets as an example) or can not reach.
