The Philips MCM2050 / 12 Music System is well suited especially for use in smaller rooms. However, one should not expect that one true high-end sound gets here. The highs are clear and the bass quite pleasant and it may come every now and then a slight rumble in some presets of simple equalizer when a song is somewhat bass-heavy. That the device has been designed very petite, but the sound is pretty good and the construction very robust, nothing wobbles and everything is rock solid. Not that I would really need the alarm in the study, I have yet tested. The setting of the alarm clock work in the system standby by remote control. You can choose whether you want to be woken by radio, CD or USB song. The alarm itself begins quietly but quickly rises to a bloodcurdling volume on - since you wake up on guarantees from the deepest sleep. For the living room I would not buy this Micro system, because the sound of this is just a little too thin for the office but it is also optimally mainly because of their dimensions. Very practical course is also the USB port. So far, no USB Stick has been abgeleht - the playback quality is excellent, even at low bit rate MP3 files. Radio reception is absolutely sufficient with the wire antenna in my case - to save the individual stations is really very simple.
Apart from its technical qualities and the appearance of the device is quite appealing. Grundätzlich held in piano black finish, the design is refined by a silver trim. Due to their slender forms the Micro system wins of course in addition to elegance.
For the bedroom, I see the system only partially suitable, because the display is very bright lights in standby.
