So off to the store and bought a EHEIM gravel cleaner for 50. Well, has exactly 2x work and sucked the things has nothing.
Then I bought a small pump to be able to perform only at the weekly water change possible without aftertaste. Works great, but of course drawn from nothing.
Aspirate Detrius via air hose in the sump is not as easily (no water pressure).
The device costs here 16. Can indeed times to invest, despite the sometimes poor reviews, I thought to myself. And yes, fits. The device works.
Important: The pump is relatively weak (what to expect), yet powerful enough to completely suck sand (2mm grit) with away. At the bar there is a mark up to which the water must be to ensure that the pump is working properly. The length can be varied. In a pinch, the essay put directly on the pump rod. So you can suck reasonable both in the sump, and in the large pool.
The rod dipping right until the pump has sucked the water - keep a pinch angle. When the pump has primed (water is flowing out of the pipe where the filter bag or hose Depends) is pretty much everything by: thick bacterial plaque, sand, snails (ok, I have :) again set back, ...
The supplied batteries are bad. Have failed me already after the first use. Simply switch batteries ...
After each use, the device wash, batteries and dry out. I use it now a week and it works. And even if it should be destroyed after one year, 16 will cost a new one.
This is definitely worth it.
