For those who believe in fairies ... and others!

"Stardust" is the first book by Neil Gaiman I read, and it was love at first sight ... The beauty, originality, splendor of writing of history, the characters, the same imagination Gaiman have my breath. However, the book has a flaw: it is too short! Like a shooting star, he is ephemeral but stunningly beautiful, and we read and re-read with as much pleasure.
"Stardust" tells the journey of a man like no other since he was born of the union of a fairy and a mortal, in a village near which stands the border Féérie and our world. Raised by men, one day he goes to the other side of the wall to fetch a falling star in token of love for a girl who cares about him a fig, and so enters the magical country and Hazardous where he was born. But will he come back?
This first novel by Neil Gaiman is a pure masterpiece, and superb illustrations by Charles Vess just enhance the beauty of the text.
