For those who simply want good coffee

After excursions into all worlds of coffee preparation types of pad machine via capsule machine to the fully automatic, with partly complicated handling, complex cleaning and high cost, I have pretty much tried everything on coffee - just happy I was somehow never. My return to the filter coffee is more a kind of part of an experiment. I'm just trying to detoxify many areas of my daily life, to make them less complicated. Then why not start there, where the day is to begin - at the coffee machine!

With filter machines there all kinds models and price ranges, which I have in the past resorted to the rather high-priced devices. Why not? Finally they promise but all very special nuances in brewing process, which should make the coffee even more delicious, full-bodied and aromatic, and the owner happy. Let's be honest, all the money for all the machines I could have saved me - in the dishwater, which can only be described as such, which flows partly because in the cups. Can it really be so difficult to simply get a good coffee?

The purchase decision - must be's a bit of nostalgia?
My claims were clear: I wanted a coffee. That, and only that. They should make some coffee, nothing else. No frills with multifunctional LCD display, timer function, or "aroma Select" -Gedöns. Water pure, pure coffee, press button Feierabend - minimalism is a must! Now, sadly, that most of these coffee machines fall into the lower price segment and correspondingly modest look - not so the KF47 von Braun. As it is already printed so beautiful on the packaging: ours is a timeless classic. The device I'm even become a bit large because my aunt until today has its predecessor. A bit of nostalgia for coffee? But like!

First Impression
I've bought the machine in black because I find the easy and discreet also fits better in my kitchen. In addition, black simply noble, elegant and above all it turns not with the years.
As with so many brown-products, the production of coffee machines was outsourced in the Eastern Bloc, which is the material quality unfortunately quite some notes. Nevertheless, the workmanship is impeccable, material error does my machine not. Only the removable IR cut filter could be something crisp snap, but that does not in use.
In design of Aromaster convinced for my taste across the board - simple and timeless, inconspicuous, yet meaningful. A clear statement to minimalism: less is more!

Commissioning
Simple: water tank filled to the gills with cold water, can go through 1x, finished. For safety's sake I did 2x, but more is really not necessary. The parts must not be specially washed.
Unlike many low cost machines during the first pass rises to absolutely no chemical-acrid smell of cheap plastic or inferior components - speaking, despite Made in the Czech Republic imprint, certainly for the intrinsic values ​​of flavor Marketers.

Preparation
How to do this, I have to tell anyone here hopefully. But what I have positively noted is the easy access to all major components. Both removable IR cut filter and the fuel filler flap can be opened by 180 °, so that fresh water and coffee powder can be filled without acrobatic dexterity without any problems.
Cook coffee takes is a simple push on the rocker switch on the front of the machine. A bit of a shame is that the extra key for small quantities of coffee which reduced the power of the hotplate, and thus prevented from burning the coffee, was rationalized in comparison with the previous model. For small quantities of coffee that are not consumed within a few minutes, the last cup is usually already so bitter, that they can no longer enjoy. This is still less on the machine, but is at the coffee just like that.

Who has it in the morning in a hurry, for the Aromaster is probably less what - because of the time can be like making coffee. For a full can you wait quite about 10 minutes until you can pour the first cup of it also takes quite a while. But that's a good thing, because as is the coffee its full flavor to develop, when the water is easy to shoot like that?
As for the volume, I have seen or heard as disturbing but I would call it by no means even quieter machines. The noise I find much more comfortable.

Handling
Here's really nothing to complain about. The jug is very easy to hold, pouring is not a balancing act. Very positive: this is the first coffee pot, the spills, nor drips. Also, the drip-stop in the machine works extremely well, so far, not a single drop of coffee has dropped me on the hot plate.
The hinge of the pot lid could however better engage, as the matter but rather is loose and slightly pops out. In addition, I find the tilting surface to be too small, since you clearly have to use force to flip up the lid. In addition, the aroma protection valve acts in the front cover quite delicate and fragile.

The Coffee
The ever important point of a coffee: like the taste of coffee? For this is, in principle, of course, told whoever fills inferior coffee top, who need not be surprised if the bottom comes out only inferior coffee. So invest in decent bean coffee and grind fresh, ideally immediately before brewing.
On the subject of coffee I have to say that I - I hated black coffee - because of my previous experience with coffee makers. Too bitter, too sour, too watery, simply inedible - without milk and sugar It's just not. But since you can not judge the pure quality coffee so I naturally still a cup of black coffee tasted - and lo and behold, the tastes yes really great! I always thought you would have to suffer from an ordinary aberration of taste to the soup like pure. I was wrong, I had just the wrong years coffeemakers. The coffee from the Aromaster tastes balanced, round and aromatic. Not a bit too bitter or too acidic, but just right. The temperature is ideal. By choosing the coffee powder and the amount of coffee can be the strength of wonderful dose, it tastes every time. That's how I always imagined good coffee.

Cleaning
All removable parts are completely dishwasher safe, although I personally prefer the cleaning by hand, since machine cleaner especially in dark plastic attacks the surface and thus can appear bleached. The engineers have really thought something in the design of KF47, because there is hardly tight angles, sharp edges or narrow openings. Everything can be reached easily and wipe. Therefore clear advantage for hygiene.

Conclusion:
Less is more - never has this adage better fit than the Aromaster Classic. Instead of relying on all kinds of bells and whistles, gadgets and Hastdunichtgesehens who Aromaster convinces with its casual simplicity and timeless look. This device is simply mature, based on proven technology and excellent at a price-performance ratio.
All timeless, minimalist and coffee lovers of Aromaster Classic is therefore a real find, because it does exactly what it should do a coffee maker: namely just good coffee.
