Trail running I use the lamp while trail running, and do not want any more. This lamp is light, easy to stow and budge on the head, no swaying of the spot! For this, the continuous adjustment of the light cone is top, so you sometimes find the possibility of removing landmarks. The widest setting illuminates a wide area, so that my lamp for 3 persons is sufficient if we walk side by side. Since I'm on the road barefoot or with thin running sandals, lots of light is just off the road important, one must be able to see every pebble, even at race pace. That goes with this lamp. Sometimes I wish a bit more brightness, but only if I sprint almost and it is absolutely dark - but also because the light is just enough so. Maybe the eye is there but already come to its limits. Who runs with shoes, will have this problem before!
The battery indicator can be seen while wearing not, why ever had the problem to be on again in the dark heart of the forest (have the lamp set so that it holds the light intensity until the end). Since then I've at long trips always have a spare battery case.
I can recommend the very lamp. Especially for sports in the dark. Fast cycling along forest trails, running ... no problem!
Who is not sure whether he wants to buy the lamp because of the somewhat shorter burn time, I recommend the Black Diamond Storm. Very long burn time, with good brightness.
