On gauze etc. it sticks perfectly and also directly on the skin, it keeps my opinion, sufficient, provided the skin is dry and free of grease.
We have often used it for this purpose and so far there has never been any skin irritations ... neither the child nor with me.
Even if the "serious injury" must be presented to one or two times the buddy or grandma can replace the strip halfway reasonable and stick again. Of course, then the strip loses its adhesive strength - in principle, it is also only to be used once thought :)
