As the title suggests, the adapter does not work unfortunately only partially in the United States, respectively. The contacts of the German Put sit too loose and did thus not all male contact. So I could, for example, my netbook does not store which was pretty annoying. Luckily I had another adapter. The processing can also be desired, so I can only advise against buying if you fly to the United States.
