Although the eye quality of the PCB is rather poor, the hard drive on the first try with this adapter. The power supply connector pins were bent, I had to straighten them with pliers: sending was done in an envelope bubble certainly effective against shocks but not at all against the pressures. It would of course had a plastic shell or polystyrene. The transfer speed is lower than that allowed my hard disk IDE port, but at least it's practical to always be able to use second HDD on a new PC to SATA ports.
