I find "Close" overall very nice and quiet. There are jazzy sounds, some songs remind me a bit of classic songs, old-school R & B is also represented. And a further touch of his first three LPs. For this purpose he wrote some good and thoughtful lyrics. Since most people will not listen anyway but because the negative judgment is certain already.
"Close" is significantly different from any other Westlife disc. Personally, I like it as an album much better than "SektoderSelters", "Hallelujah", or commercially so successful "charade". So I am certainly quite alone there, but that does not matter. I think that the people who see the board bad, either now basically have always criticizing Westlife or simply have no ears and no leisure. Even my wife, she likes not Westlife, like "Close". Would the record of someone else with a different voice, she would probably find really great. Well folks, `Take an hour time, forget the unhappy Image discussions and prejudices and listen to the plate. It is worth it!
