Twins are surprisingly antithetical to each other. Conner is a boy who does not think too much and often behavior problems, Alex, instead, reflects much less impulsive than his brother, it is also much more disciplined. I preferred his brother Alex because it fits me better, his love for books, that she refuge there, made that I could more easily identify with her. Conner me smile many times but he is not like me. That said I still enjoyed also.
Other Crusaders characters are not really developed but I enjoyed meeting Cinderella, Snow White, Goldilocks, Jack (and the Beanstalk). The principle of years after discovering the stories and see the links between them, designed by Chris Colfer, I was very interested.
I found the Once Upon a Time elements and some things have appeared to me easy to guess compared to the quest twins but I found my child's soul in these 400 pages. And that does not happen often. I had the impression to have another 10 years to discover this novel through my juvenile eyes. Chris Colfer here showed me his writing talent and he delighted me with its simple and fluid pen, her fresh ideas and his ability to make me enter the world of fairy tales. He made me meet characters who are always mythical to me and convinced me his fertile imagination.
