Basically, the ball head 498RC2 seems to be fine but on my first trip, I had this fixed, including a monopod to my belt loop and by the movement of the friction screw should have dissolved and is now lost.

I must say that I would expect from a Monfrottoartikel which is not so cheap Dorfer product already that no such thing as just happened and moving parts are somehow secured and not to resolve itself.

I have now written to Manfrotto Germany if there is a way to reorder this screw. Well, let's see.
