From kings and queens

"Kings And Queens" is the 10th album of Axel Rudi Pell and was released in March 2004. It was produced by Axel Rudi Pell and Charlie Bauerfeind. The long groove was recorded again by Johnny Gioeli (vocals), Axel Rudi Pell (Guitar), Volker Krawczak (bass), Mike Terrana (drums) and Ferdy Doernberg (keyboards). All the pieces were re-written and composed by Axel.

After a short intro `The Gate` it starts with the lively` Flying high`. One of the rather few quick pieces on the album.
`Cold heaven` is very eingänig with a crisp riff Axel.
`Strong as a Rock 'is also very catchy and one of the most famous pieces of the album.
The ballad 'Forever angel` is one of the well-known pieces of the album. `Strong as a Rock 'and` Forever angel` both are on the "Best of-Anniversary Edition" of of 2009.
The longest track on the CD is `Legions of hell`, also held in midtempo rather it reminds Rainbow and Black Sabbath Dio to each times.
`Only the strong will survive` has hit potential, but unfortunately does not run such music on the radio.
Even more of a ballad `Sailing Away ', tidy but nothing special.

"Kings And Queens" picks up where "Shadow Zone" (2002) and "The Masquerade Ball" (2000) left off, without their really great to reach. If you buy Axel Rudi, you also get Pell. :-) The man stands for quality, so I 4 stars for the long groove, which perhaps could have been a bit more rocky.
