After much hesitation, I decided, therefore, to me to set a new processor cooler. The hesitation should may at any trace who has once built a house of AMD cooler. The need for such a force effort that one is anxious and fearful during installation to processor and motherboard. Then runs the PC first time, will prefer to no longer ran to the processor cooler one. But what must be, must be.
My selection criterion was also a bit strange. I ordered this cooler because it here at Amazon a part, had consistently good reviews and on the other hand had no significant complaints about a heavy installation of AMD-owners. Fortunately for me, this speculation proved to be correct. The installation was relatively simple (cooling paste, incidentally, was also there) and the cooler could be anchor and lock in smoothly.
The result is highly pleasing, although I have throttled the radiator through the BIOS to approximately 60% of power - so that it is virtually silent - my processor in office mode is partially cooled to well below 30 ° C. The inside of my PC case is now again - surprisingly - cool. If I had not thought of. Is felt below room temperature.
so far so good. What could be negative?
The installation may, at least for AMD owners, be confusing and lead to undesirable results, especially if you strictly adhere to the more than scanty installation instructions.
The HyperTX 3 has on the top of the radiator plate two guides for the AMD-typical bow with which the radiator is attached to the processor. In the manual, the cooler is not installed on the two guides, but across them. This is also because the guides have notches that allow. But that means that the fan is misaligned in a gewöhlichen ATX case, namely down or up, instead, as it should be according to instructions actually, toward the front bays.
If you want to install the cooler now correct, is the fact that you have to be careful, also correctly attach the so-called mounting bracket B (the small lever with which the strap is ultimately locked) around the bracket. Otherwise the fins of the heat sink can prevent turning the lever and thus the locking of the radiator. What can give the impression sometimes that an appropriate installation is not possible, even though you really just have to turn the lever.
Oh yes, the connection between the bracket and lever is also not exactly solved primates friendly. Until the lever turned over and the system is now locked firmly, the whole thing's a damn shaky and can cost when installing one or two nerve already.
(But when I think of it: It is a Gummidingsbums supplied, which officially is called rubber mount I could not do anything because I at least as it was described in the instructions, could not fix and it me entirely. pointless seemed to do that. It might be good but that these rubber mount to stabilize the otherwise extremely shaky connection between bracket and lever used. At least if you mind making immediately and does not follow the instructions. Then, it is in fact too late. Although one but again care needs that the lever is mounted so the correct direction, because the rubber holder is glued ...)
Nevertheless, clearly 5 star for the Cooler Master HyperTX 3 Evo as AMD processor cooler.
