The compilations synthetic pearls 80s abound in recent years (OPPI, with Young People Mödernes, Disco Not Disco ...) Of all these very good compilations, some still come out of the lot, as OPPI and ... thereof. As the title suggests, here we are more in COLD wave. They say "cold" because mechanized, but it is good of the human hots who programmed the machines and sings. Actually, it was rather humans who play the cold, and in retrospect, there is always something a bit kitsch in these voices that play the robot and the jerky melodies. Aside from the génialissime Polaroid-Roman-Photo of Ruth French, I have done that discoveries on this compilation. And some are really size; melodies that are engraved in the mind instantly jukebox, falsely jaded voices that make us smile while the whole body is seized with a sudden urge to dance (and frankly, it takes a lot to make me want to dance) songs which make us forget the lot of horrors that the 80's were able to produce and also remind us that if bands like Depeche Mode and New Order occupied the front of the synthetic scene, they were not the only ones to make music monstrously good.
