Good Morning. Recently, I have discovered the small macro world for me. At first only with camera and tripod. But anyone who has ever photographed macros knows that at a distance of the camera from the object of just 30 cm even at aperture 22 there is a depth of only a few millimeters. So how then the sharpness sat there where I want it? Tripod offset? In just a few millimeters? As a fast time flies like to macro. A Focusing was needed. The reviews for this 4-way slide sounded good, so I ordered it to me. I order a lot from Amazon and am used to receive my goods at the latest after 2 days. This is unfortunately not possible. Goods coming from the UK and is not a week ago at a. I have probably somehow overlooked. But it can also find no evidence. Well. For carriage: He makes at first glance a very good impression. It is made of metal and its weight is a good-quality feel. The carriages can be pushed well and thus allow a millimeter-accurate setting of the camera. Sounds all right. then why not 5 stars?
To create vertical shooting I have the carriage bolts on a ball head. A 3-way Neiger would be better, but probably have the fewest. I screw my MKII now standing on the vertical format with 105mm macro sled is a very wobbly affair. The set screws must be already dressed very firmly so that the carriage does not automatically make the way down. However, I doubt that the locking screws which join 20x. In general should be no need to use a ball head. Screwed directly onto the tripod makes the 4-way Focusing (In Querformart!) A very good job. Since I will rather only from time to time to photograph macro is the 4-way carriage for me more than sufficient and for shooting Querformart thoroughly recommended. The price-performance ratio is very reasonable.
