I liked the plot of the "Marriage of Figaro" and how to treat a serious subject with as much gaiety and enthusiasm: all the protagonists are trying to prevent frivolous Count of owning his servant, Suzanne, yet promised Figaro. Beaumarchais features the relaxation of mores that has occurred in the late twentieth century, neglect of a wife-Rosine- yet passionnémment coveted by the count in the first part, "The Barber of Seville."
Through this comedy is the right of the lord (or droit de seigneur), hierarchy and his omnipotence which are criticized and unfortunately still relevant in another form. This powerful omnipotence still exists today in what is called "sexual harassment", although Almaviva tries to seduce her servant with more skill and less emphasis submit a boss wanting his subordinate. The fact remains that the great power of Spain would abuse his home to meet their basic needs, "Oh this lovely Suzette If you came straight talk in the dark in the garden, I would put such a price!!! this slight favor ... "Would he pay up her maid to agree to give herself to him at dusk (what he calls" the brown garden ")?
As so aptly LARTHOMAS Pierre, in his preface to a high quality, it is in this comedy, created on the eve of the French Revolution, to defeat the absolute master and his omnipotence through the wiles of Figaro and his entourage. This piece is therefore well in a changing world, and is anchored in his century, yet reminiscent universal across humans. Beaumarchais was firmly on the side of women and of the Republic. It is also imprisoned for having sold weapons to Republicans, he was a noble yet. It is against the excesses of the Great it claims to rebel. It is therefore understood well in the light of these explanations why Louis XVI delayed representation because he judged the dangerous part. Was she then too subversive? Beaumarchais therefore took the precaution to make it evolve in Spain to avoid censorship.
But the powerful still exist and the room has not stopped talking to her ... and enjoy ourselves by putting our hearts into joy!
